Sound and Light Concepts, better known as The Sound and Light Company, was founded in February 2002 as a result of two industry freelancers with over 50 years combined experience, that knew they could offer more to the market than was currently available. Being freelance engineers both Robert Frankish and Tony Bottomley knew how important personal service and attention to detail was to the client, but as sole trader’s both could only bring that level of service to a small number of businesses on a small scale basis. The idea of amalgamating into one company was to expand that personal, service driven ethic into larger and more diverse contracts.

Since being established in 2002 SLC have grown steadily increasing its customer base and becoming ever more diverse in the services offered. In the last 8 years both staff and premises have expanded to cope with the increasing workloads and technical requirements. Strategic headhunting of new staff has helped ensure that the company has expanded its technical ability in all areas of entertainment technology, ensuring that qualified and experienced staff are available at every stage of a project from consultation and initial design to final commissioning.
